HELPING AT HOME

There are a variety of things that every person can do to help protect endangered species within their own homes. 

 

Some of these include: 

  • Avoid purchasing products that were tested on animals

 

  • Avoid bring home exotic plants and animals when you visit different areas- these could become invasive and endanger the native plants around you
  • Limit your use of pesticides and herbicides
  • Volunteer at local organizations
  • Donate money to organizations dedicated to helping wildlife
  • Don't buy products made from endangered animals
  • Plant a tree!
  • Put up a bird feeder
  • Make a compost pile
  • Avoid using chemical fertilizers
  • Plant native plants, not invasive species
