Deforestation--

  • the conversion of forested areas to non-forest land use for such as arable land, pasture, urban use, log area, or wasteland
  • half of the mature tropical forests on the planet have been cleared
  • unless significant measures are taken to reduce deforestation, only 10% will remain by the year 2030

The Top 3 Ways to Prevent Deforestation:

1.)  Recycle everything you can (paper, books, shopping bags, glass, plastic and aluminum).  Buy products made from recycled paper and use cloth shopping bags that can be reused.

2.)   Plant trees!  Do your part to replace oxygen in the atmosphere.
